Have your say on the Aylestone Hill active travel improvements. Thursday 1 August to Friday 20 September 2024. This consultation is closed.
We have been awarded Levelling Up Fund (LUF) capital funding from central government to deliver a number of schemes including the A465 Aylestone Hill Cycle Scheme.

The A465 Aylestone Hill Cycle LUF scheme aims to provide high quality cycle infrastructure from the junction with the City Link Road and Commercial Road all the way to the 'park and choose' site at Aylestone Park.
The scheme will tie in with proposals which are being developed for the City Transport Hub and align with the aspirations of the emerging Hereford City Masterplan (HCMP).
We have identified that the existing cycle infrastructure on Aylestone Hill is unsuitable for many users. By providing a safe space for cycling that is inclusive for people of all ages and abilities and segregated from motorists, we aim to encourage more people to cycle within Hereford, particularly those that are less confident cyclists.
By encouraging more walking and cycling, particularly for shorter journeys, we can help to increase active travel and reduce congestion on our already busy road network.
It will also contribute to improved air quality and create safer, more pleasant places in which to live, work and do business.
